Can you put a price on your personal identity, your financial data, and your privacy? None of us can – they’re priceless. Yet Identity fraud and data breaches are a growing concern for many, even those who think they navigate the digital world safely.

Allstate Identity Protection has continued to innovate their solutions to the dangers of identity theft, offering extensive monitoring and up to $1 million expense and stolen funds reimbursement.1 Their service provides 24/7 access to in-house experts who can fully take on remediation and restoration in the event of fraud or identity theft. They do this in 2 ways:

Protecting:

Allstate Identity Protection’s technology helps detect when an identity may be at an elevated risk for theft and allows them to help you take necessary precautions, including placing fraud alerts, credit freezes, and reviewing credit reports. They go beyond credit monitoring to search for suspicious activity, looking holistically at your digital life.

Restoring:

It’s important to be aware that should your identity and data be compromised, the consequences can be far more than just temporarily inconvenient. They can be dangerously disruptive not just to your sense of privacy, but also to the way financial institutions view your financial well-being. If restoration is needed, Allstate will navigate the challenging, time-consuming process for you.

Enroll anytime! While you can sign up year-round to begin protecting yourself and your family, keep in mind that you want to have this benefit in place before any identity theft happens, not after the damage is done and you’re on your own to repair it.

  • Why would I need Allstate Identity Protection when my bank and/or credit card company offer a program?

Allstate Identity Protection invests considerable resources into developing and advancing identity theft technology, and spends hours learning how identity thieves work. This means that these identity protection services are far broader and more comprehensive than a bank or credit card, which is usually based only on credit. Not only do these services monitor it all, but also fully manage and restore your identity in the case of fraud, which means you do none of the legwork. Finally, an up to $1 million identity theft insurance policy means you don’t have to cover the costs of recovering your identity.2

  • When I activate credit monitoring, will it impact my credit score?

No, activating credit monitoring on your Allstate Identity Protection account is considered a soft inquiry, which does not impact your credit score, as it is informational only and not a credit application. This is different from a hard inquiry, which occurs when you apply for credit. A hard inquiry can impact your credit score.
